This REALLY bothered me. I don't see the logic in printing this at all. Let's just say it was true. What good is it publishing that? NONE. It just gets people more angry at the US. It could incite terrorist attacks, and would Newsweek be prepared for that consequence? The worst part about it was that it was unsubstanciated!!! Chris J.
I concur. If it was true, you would have to think about publishing it.
And they do have to think about the consequences, b/c many may not hear about the retraction or believe it.
From what I've heard, Al Queda manuals teach trainees to make accusations like this even if untrue. Thanks Newsweek!
