Why Does the Media Have Such a Hard Time Using the Word Muslim?
This article details the different words used for the terrorists in Russia. Very few media sources will actually mention that they are Muslim.
I find it very interesting that a kook fringe which kills abortions providers that is constantly denounced by Christians (yes, constantly denounced) is always hung on the necks of Christians, while the radical elements of Islam (which isn't fringe btw) gets a pass in the press.
We know most Muslims don't engage in terrorism. But why can't we call a spade a spade? What the heck is the problem? We may jump to conclusions about Islam?
My unscientific impressions are those in the media who are loathe to tar Islam have read little of the primary texts of Islam, be that the Koran or the Hadith.
