How Can We End Judicial Tyranny and Restore the Proper Constitutional Balance?

"The People Themselves" by Larry Kramer. I must get this book.

Comments:
Okay, that's fine. Let's throw out that whole first amendment bit. I'm okay with that, as long as you're okay with having the American religious base be Islam. Oh, or the Church of Satan. President Marlyn Manson. I like the sound of that.

Yes. Judicial tyranny of what? Judges trying to keep religion out of governmental institutions? If that is tyranny, fine, let's end it. I'll be willing to concede to that, as long as you are willing to concede that the religion that the government allows in its institutions are only Islamic.

While I think your reading of the establishment clause is historically and grammatically flawed, that's not my main concern here. My concern is the judicial branch accruing powers not envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Also there has been a lot of efforts to accomplish via judicial fiat what should be accomplished and are meant to be handled via legislation and political battles. Lastly, the Sumpreme Court was never envisioned to have the abilities they have now. Nor were they ever envisioned to be a super-branch of government which has no real checks on their decisions.
